He has been repeatedly voted by his peers as one of the Best Lawyers in Canada. Michael has tried over 1,500 cases in his career, including homicide, complex fraud, drinking and driving cases, drug projects, and a wide range of other criminal offences.

He is also a frequent lecturer of Continuing Professional Development Courses throughout the province. In addition to working as a trial and appellate lawyer, he teaches Criminal Trial Advocacy as an adjunct professor at Queen’s Law.
