Neinstein LLP’s willingness to take on complex legal issues and institutional defendants has highlighted its courtroom advocacy across Canada, resulting in seminal trial and appellate decisions such as the JUUL mass tort action.
In 2024, the firm took on what it acknowledges as one of the most significant issues of the day: the negative impact of social media on the mental health, well-being, and education of young people. A belief that the law can create a better tomorrow is at the heart of the firm’s advocacy.
“Our team is known for our trial and appellate work,” says Neinstein. “We are consistently asked to take over carriage of cases and trials from other excellent lawyers and are known for our ability to recraft complex liability and damages theories.”
Its initiative to certify all its lawyers as trauma-informed demonstrates its commitment to service excellence and legal expertise. Investment in its team has been an essential strategy in positioning them as courtroom-ready litigators and subject-matter experts at the forefront of patient safety, working toward a safer medical experience for clients nationwide.
“We have honed in on the unique skillset of each team member and allowed their talent to flourish, whether establishing a dedicated mass tort practice, a knowledge management department, expanding our legal community network, or providing opportunities to sharpen written and oral advocacy,” Neinstein explains.
