The firm’s ability to navigate complex liability and damages cases, combined with its strategic approach to advocacy, has earned it repeated recognition as one of Canada’s Top Personal Injury Boutique on Canadian Lawyer’s prestigious annual list, including in 2025.
“Neinstein’s differentiator is our talent. We not only maintain an industry-leading retention rate among our legal team, but we have also cultivated a group of exceptional legal professionals committed to driving change,” adds Leto.
“That mindset shapes the cases they take on; prioritizing those where they can make a real difference for clients and create lasting societal change.”
Two recent examples illustrate this approach. Amid the pandemic, the firm saw the opportunity to provide a voice for older adults, highlighting senior care home Chartwell’s failure to adequately plan and respond to the deadly outbreak.
In collaboration with firms nationwide, Neinstein is holding Chartwell accountable for breaching statutory requirements and leaving society’s most vulnerable unprotected. While the firm fights for its clients as part of this case, it also fights for quality healthcare for all.
Neinstein is also leading a mass tort action against social media platforms, including Snapchat, Meta, and TikTok, on behalf of school boards across Ontario. The case highlights the impact of digital platforms on youth mental health and education. The mass tort litigation against social media companies has enjoyed an early victory: on March 7, 2025, the Court dismissed the Defendants’ motion to strike, allowing these important claims to proceed.
