Richard M. Bogoroch is the founder and managing partner of Bogoroch & Associates LLP. He has over 40 years of experience practising personal injury and medical malpractice litigation. Richard is regarded as a leading personal injury lawyer and has been recognized by the Canadian Legal Lexpert® Directory and by The Best Lawyers in Canada, two leading peer-review lawyer rating guides. Since 1993, Richard has been certified by the Law Society of Ontario as a Specialist in Civil Litigation.
Richard graduated from McGill University Law School with a BCL in 1978 and an LLB in 1979. He was called to the Alberta Bar in 1980 and the Ontario Bar in 1983. In 1995, he completed the Harvard Mediation Workshop sponsored by The Advocates’ Society.
Richard is a past director of the Ontario Centre for Advocacy Training, a past director of The Advocates’ Society (1994-98) and a past chair of the Canadian Bar Association – Ontario Provincial Committee on the Judiciary.
He has lectured and written extensively on many aspects of personal injury litigation, brain injury litigation, medical malpractice, and chronic pain litigation, for Continuing Legal Education Programs organized by the Law Society of Ontario, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, The Advocates’ Society, the Ontario Bar Association (formerly the Canadian Bar Association), and Osgoode Hall Law School’s Professional Development Program. He has also been an instructor for the Law Society of Ontario’s Bar Admission Course and Osgoode Hall Law School’s Intensive Trial Advocacy Workshop. Since 1984, he has chaired, co-chaired, and/or has spoken at over 100 programs of continuing legal education focused on various aspects of personal injury litigation, brain injury litigation, medical malpractice litigation, and chronic pain litigation.
From 2013 to 2016, Richard was appointed by the Government of Canada to serve as a director of the Patented Medicines Prices Review Board (PMPRB), an independent board established by Parliament in 1987 under the Patent Act to protect the interests of Canadian consumers by ensuring that the prices of patented medicines sold in Canada are not excessive.
In 2015, Richard was honoured by the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association with the Dean Edgell Award for his significant contribution and excellence in legal writing, continuing legal education, and leadership activities.
Over his career, Richard has handled approximately 10,000 cases, securing settlements or judgments that ensure his clients receive the compensation essential for a dignified life.

Heidi R. Brown is a partner at Bogoroch & Associates LLP and is certified by the Law Society of Ontario Canada as a Specialist in Civil Litigation. Called to the Ontario Bar in 1993, Heidi has been practising law for 30 years, the first seven of which were as counsel to the Children’s Lawyer representing the interests of minors.
Since joining Bogoroch & Associates LLP in November 1999, she has exclusively practiced personal injury litigation and medical malpractice litigation and has appeared as counsel in complex personal injury and medical malpractice trials.
Heidi has presented at personal injury and related programs and conferences organized by the Advocates’ Society, Law Society of Ontario, OBA, Osgoode Hall, and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, where she sat on the board of directors for nine years until 2021.

With more than 30 years of experience representing seriously injured people, Halpern has a detailed understanding of the highly technical medical issues, particularly relating to birth injury cases. Simona Jellinek

Simona Jellinek leads the sexual abuse and assault team as counsel. She has more than 25 years of experience in representing survivors of childhood abuse as well as adult assaults.
Jellinek has litigated against religious institutions, Childrens’ Aid Societies, all levels of government, Big Brothers, Scouts, school boards, and many other institutions where people are placed in harm’s way. She has litigated hundreds of cases and has helped her clients achieve some of the highest settlements for sexual abuse cases in Canada.

Steve Rastin is a senior counsel who represents seriously injured and wronged people with a focus on motor vehicle litigation, disability law, medical negligence and birth trauma cases, and class action/mass tort proceedings. He has close to 30 years of experience and has argued cases for clients in the Superior Court, the Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada.
In 2021, he joined Gluckstein Lawyers to lead the Rastin Gluckstein offices in central Ontario and to assist with complex litigation, serious medical negligence, and class action/mass tort litigation. Rastin also acts as trial counsel for Gluckstein in cases across Ontario. He has acted as lead counsel in hundreds of serious injury cases and has obtained multimillion-dollar recoveries.

David Lackman graduated with honours from Montreal’s McGill University in 1978. Thereafter, he received his Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles.
In 1982, he was admitted by the Supreme Court of California to practice as an attorney and counsellor-at-law in the state’s courts. He was admitted by the Law Society of Ontario as a barrister, solicitor and notary public in 1985.
Lackman’s litigation practice now extends over 35 years, encompassing serious and complex personal injury and disability claims, and wrongful death claims. He has achieved outstanding results against some of the country’s largest corporations, including railway operators.
