The firm benefits from the guidance of three former appellate judges: the Hon. John Hunter, KC; the Hon. Martin Taylor, KC, formerly of the BC Court of Appeal; and the Hon. Russell Brown, formerly of the Supreme Court of Canada. Their invaluable insights and mentorship enhance the firm’s appellate expertise and client service.
Hunter Litigation Chambers is known for its involvement in complex and high-profile cases, including most recently representing the Province of BC in a significant constitutional trial, protecting trade secrets, and addressing regulatory and class action matters. The firm’s commitment to developing future litigation leaders is evident in its strategic recruitment, mentoring practices, and encouragement of pro bono work. The result is a low turnover rate that ensures the continued delivery of exceptional client service across diverse legal practice areas.
“We recruit and retain good lawyers who provide excellent service to clients across a wide variety of practice areas. The specifics of the files we’re working on at any given time may vary, but our overall approach and strategy have remained consistent since the firm’s inception,” says Claire E. Hunter, KC.
