Murray Stieber is the managing partner of Stieber Berlach and has over 25 years of broad-based litigation experience. He practises in a wide variety of areas with an emphasis on insurance coverage, professional liability, D&O liability, environmental liability and construction-related liability. Murray has extensive trial experience and has represented clients at all levels of court in Ontario.
He also regularly acts on behalf of clients on regulatory matters and has appeared before various regulatory bodies including the Ontario Securities Commission, CPA Ontario, and Professional Engineers Ontario. Murray takes a highly pragmatic and results-oriented approach to resolving his clients’ matters effectively and efficiently.

Frank Csathy has more than three decades of experience in a broad spectrum of insurance-related litigation. He began his career primarily handling personal injury, property, and insurance coverage files. He subsequently moved to a practice involving mostly professional liability defence, municipal liability defence, and property damage claims.
Today, Frank practises in all these areas, as well as defending matters arising from environmental liability and fraud claims. He has extensive experience representing his clients in all levels of court in Ontario, as well as administrative tribunals and private arbitrations.

Iain Peck is an experienced construction, infrastructure, and development lawyer with a complex practice. He concentrates his practice in construction litigation and principally acts on behalf of professional engineers, large and medium-sized general contractors, developers, regional governments, and small-to-medium municipalities. His product liability litigation practice involves complex and technical issues with machinery, industrial equipment, and buses.
Iain also defends environmental claims, particularly with respect to contaminated land and clean-up. In 2021, he was invited to join the exclusive Construction Lawyers Society of America, an invitation-only, selective and limited-membership international association of the world’s best construction lawyers.

Kurt K. Pereira has a broad insurance-related litigation practice. He was called to the bar in 2003, joined Stieber Berlach in 2004 and became a partner of the firm in 2014.
