Yameena Ansari is the founder and managing lawyer of Ansari Immigration Law, an Alberta-based Canadian immigration and refugee law firm recognized for excellence in immigration law, refugee protection, Federal Court litigation, humanitarian immigration, and citizenship matters. Since being called to the Alberta Bar, she has built a modern, technology-driven practice that combines legal excellence with compassionate client advocacy.
Ansari is widely recognized for her leadership in humanitarian immigration and immigration policy reform. She co-founded the Gaza Family Reunification Project and has been a leading advocate for displaced families seeking protection in Canada. More recently, she has become a prominent legal voice on refugee protection options for Americans seeking asylum in Canada, providing legal education and guidance through media interviews, webinars, and public advocacy.
Beyond client representation, she teaches internationally trained lawyers through the NCA Online Teacher platform, publishes legal articles for the Canadian Immigration Lawyers Association, mentors future legal professionals, and delivers continuing professional development programs for lawyers.
