Michael Perlman is the CEO of DivorceMate Software and is passionate about developing innovative, cutting-edge software that helps family law professionals work more productively. Since joining the company in 1996, he has helped build DivorceMate into Canada’s leading family law software provider. He is committed to supporting the long-term success of the Canadian family law profession through innovative products and services, timely and knowledgeable support, and a thorough understanding of technology, family law issues and trends, and client needs. Outside work, Perlman enjoys golf, cycling, and spending time with his family.

Simon Knowles is the COO of DivorceMate Software, where he oversees core business operations, software development, and support. He has been with the company for more than 25 years, joining after leaving a promising academic career in British imperial history to code the original software now used by law firms across Canada. His work spans all aspects of DivorceMate’s operations. Outside work, Knowles enjoys travelling the world using points, hiking in the great outdoors with his family, and sampling wine and cheese.

Christine Montgomery brings extensive family law experience to her role as vice president of family law at DivorceMate. She oversees family law content and educates legal professionals and members of the judiciary about the complexities of the company’s software. She earned her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Toronto and was called to the Bar in 1992. After initially practising civil and commercial litigation, she focused exclusively on family law for several years. She joined DivorceMate in January 2005, contributing to the development of the Spousal Support Advisory Guidelines (SSAG) calculator. Outside work, Montgomery enjoys adventure travel, hiking, reading, writing, painting, and spending time with her family, especially at the cottage.

Brian Duong practises in the areas of civil litigation and administrative law. He has appeared as both trial and appellate counsel, including in a number of cases of public interest. He has successfully managed a wide range of complex cases, including contract and shareholder disputes, property matters, franchise litigation, breach of confidence actions, and constitutional claims. Duong holds law degrees from both the University of Toronto and the University of Cambridge and has gained experience practising law in the United States and Europe.
